Cancer Screening
Last Updated: Friday, 16 October 2026The NHS provides free, population-based cancer screening programs to detect cancers early, often before symptoms arise.
A recent audit undertaken by the practice showed that all of the new cancer diagnoses we looked at had been identified through the National Cancer Screening Programme, therefore were treatable as they had been picked up early.
A drop-in service for various health screening including certain cancers is operated by the Living Well Service. Follow this link for information about when they are in your area and what services will be available.
