Children are offered a range of vaccinations before they start school to protect them from common but preventable infectious diseases. Their first vaccinations are given when they are aged eight weeks. It is important to ensure your child is up to date with their vaccinations by checking the record of these in their red book. If you know that your child needs to catch up on any missed vaccinations, call the surgery on (0151) 256 9800 to arrange an appointment convenient to you.

If you are still unsure about having your child vaccinated, please contact the surgery to arrange a telephone consultation with a Practice Nurse where you will have the chance to have an in-depth chat about the vaccinations. You can also contact the surgery to request UK health security agency approved leaflets to be posted out to your home address.
Catch-Up Clinics for School-Age Children
Over the summer holidays, Mersey Care’s School Immunisation Team will be offering ‘catch up clinics’ for children and young people across Liverpool for any routine pre-school or school immunisations they may have missed.
